POSTER SUBMISSION

Abstracts general information

Provide a structured abstract of no more than 300 words, presenting essential data in 5 paragraphs introduced by separate headings in the following order: Objectives, Background, Methods, Results, and Conclusions. Use complete sentences. All data in the abstract must also appear in the manuscript text or tables. Abstracts are to be submitted as Word file version 2003 (or older) as an attachement through e-mail: info@slo-heart.org

Poster Presentation Format

Our decision regarding abstract acceptance will be sent to you via e-mail no later than 30th June.  Each poster board measures  196 (height) x 95 (width) cm. The presenter must provide the presentation material for the poster board, including a copy of the abstract and all relevant disclosure information. Text and illustrations must be readable from distances of at least 1 meter. Use lightweight materials only; heavy articles are difficult to secure. Velcro fasteners and push pins will be available on site. All presentation materials should be produced in advance and brought to the symposium. No audiovisual, projection, or computer equipment requiring electrical power will be permitted in the general poster session area.

All accepted poster abstracts will be on display the entire length of the meeting.  The time that you will be reqired to attend a poster for possible questions will also be e-mailed to you. This will be an excellent opportunity to interact with colleagues!

Best Poster Awards Competition: Experts in each area will judge the posters according to set criterion; prizes will be awarded at the end of the symposium on Saturday, 26th September.

REGISTRATION FOR THE SYMPOSIUM

Early Registration for Physicians (Payment before August 30, 2009) - 150 EUR

Late Registration for Physicians (Payment after August 30, 2009) - 200 EUR

Residents / Fellows / Students/Nurses - free

Note: Fee includes admission to lectures and exhibitions, symposium book and materials, coffee brakes and admission to social events.

- The symposium is officialy registered as a post-graduate course at Ljubljana University School of Medicine (5 credits).

- 16 CME credit points will be awarded for symposium participants

Registration desk will be opened in the foyer of the convention center (Grand Hotel Bernardin) on September 24th, 2009 from noon to 7:00 pm, on September 25th from 8:00 am to 7:00 pm and on September 26th from 8:00 am to noon.

Letter of Invitation / Visa Requirements

For citizens of  countries within the EU, a valid passport (or personal identity card for residents of EU) is sufficient to enter Slovenia. Slovenia is also a part of the Schengen Agreement since December 2007. Participants from other countries are advised to check visa requirements at the nearest Slovene embassy or consulate. Information on visas and addresses of Slovene embassies is available on the web site of the Slovene Ministry of Foreign Affairs at http://www.mzz.gov.si/en.

Participants who need a visa to enter Slovenia have to request a Letter of Guarantee which will be prepared by the Organizing Committee. The visa cannot be obtained without a Letter of Guarantee which is intended to facilitate participant’s visa arrangements only, and does not imply the provision of any financial or other support.
In case you will apply for a visa at any Slovene embassy please mark the box "Letter of Guarantee" in the online registration for the BRMS fORUM. Afterwards you will receive the relevant document to fill it out and to send it to the Cankarjev dom.

The organiser is authorised to demand payment of registration fee before the visa procedure starts. Please note that all costs are to be covered by the participant (verification tax and DHL post costs if needed).

The letter of invitation does not financially obligate the conference organizers in any way.

All expenses incurred in relation to the conference are the sole responsibility of the participant.
