About us

In collaboration with the Center for Advanced Heart Failure, Memorial Hermann Heart & Vascular Institute from Houston, we are organizing a joint international symposium, Innovations and New Treatment Strategies in Heart Failure and the Branislav "Brano" Radovancevic Heart Failure Forum on advances in diagnostics, pharmacological, and non-pharmacological management of heart failure.

The symposium will take place from September 14th to 16th, 2025, at the Bernardin Convention Center in Portorož, SlLovenia. Numerous speakers from Slovenia, Europe, and the USA have already confirmed their participation, promising a content-rich and discussion-filled event.

As in previous years, there is no registration fee.

This year’s symposium will again offer the opportunity for active participation through poster presentations. Abstracts selected for presentation will be published in the journal Transplantation and Regenerative Medicine, and the presenting author will have all participation costs for the symposium covered by the organizer. Instructions for abstract preparation and submission are available here.

Registration for the symposium is available online or via email at brms.slo@gmail.com, where you can also contact us for additional information.

The symposium program will be available shortly.

We look forward to seeing you again!

Slovenian Society for Heart Transplantation is an interdisciplinary forum that aims to link all professionals that are involved in different aspects of heart transplantation in Slovenia.

The Society was formed based on a substantial increase of heart transplantation numbers in Slovenia in the recent years, which ranked Slovenia #1 in the world in the number of heart transplants per million population.

The principal mission of the Society is to enhance the education and awareness in the field of heart transplantation, to interact with patient forums, to publish periodicals and monographs, to organize national and international conferences in the fields of advanced heart failure and heart transplantation, and to collaborate with international transplant societies (International Society for Heart and Lung Transplantation, European Society for Organ Transplantation).
